By signing up to the School Food Standards you are demonstrating your continued commitment to the health and wellbeing of your pupils. The new food-based standards are much easier to use and provide much more flexibility for caterers. They provide a nutritional safety net for children and an assurance to parents (find out more about them here).
David Laws MP and Lord Nash have written to academies to encourage them to sign up to these standards. Have a look at their letter here.
You can see those academies and free schools that have already signed up here.
So far, all the large Multi-Academy Trusts have been eager to do this. These include: Ark, Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), School Partnership Trust (SPTA), E-ACT, David Ross Education Trust (DRET), REAch2 Academy Trust, Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), Harris Federation, Greenwood Dale Foundation Trust (GDFT), Oasis Community Learning and United Learning Trust.
Add your name to the list to demonstrate your commitment to the heath and well-being of your pupils by signing up today.
